This is my backyard, painted outside this summer. To me it is my haven. It is almost completely private, with no visible neighbors (facing this way). The flowers were glorious and the weather was sunny. Its so important to my sanity having a beautiful and quiet place to relax.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
