This is the latest painting in my forest series. I painted it en plein air while Chris was fishing on the boat. It was very peaceful with the frogs croaking and the crickets cricketing but we had to leave after a while because it started to rain and the sky threatened more.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
