About Debra Bretton Robinson
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement. Thank you so much for your comments. I never knew about Marguerite Zorach and looked her up on the internet. It is an honor to be positively connected to great artists and to be recognized by your peers. Your paintings are wonderful. We seem to like the same locations. Rockport, MA and Rockport, ME along with Vermont are my favorite places for vacationing which is always work to me. I take a lot of photos and bring them home to work from. It is nice to have met you, Keep up the great painting. (I am working on abstract paper cuts at the moment for a show next year.
