Boy, how many paintings of the Merrimack River did I paint this summer?? I guess a lot. :) Here is yet another of Chris' fishing spots. A very worthy subject to paint. I liked all of the spiny branches in and out of the water. Its great to paint while on a boat. Lots of great scenes you would never get a chance to see otherwise!
About Debra Bretton Robinson
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement.
