I worked at the deCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA to help my friend Holly out for a few weeks. During that time I painted and drew the grounds en plein air. There are many, many great scenes to paint there. Its lovely. This is one of my favorites though. I love the way the red orange, the yellow green and the blue purple are working together.

Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement.
