This is a collage for a mask show I am had with another artist friend, Noredin Morgan. I wanted to include several "masks" women wear in the world, past and present. A mask is defined as something that covers the face. A Middle Eastern chador does just that.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
