This past July I worked with the Lowell Waterways Vitality Initiative - Greater Lowell Community Foundation hosting a mentorship for three Lowell High school students. We painted and drew the canals of Lowell en plein air. I visited numerous canals for the project and painted three myself! This one is behind the Lowell Sun building. Loved painting them!
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
