Artist's Description
Usually I like to work en Plein air (outside with my easel) but in the Winter this isn't always possible. So when my friend Barbara Goldhamer showed me a gorgeous photo of Harvard Square that a homeless acquaintance showed her, I fell in love. We asked permission to use it and he agreed. I feel he has a unique perspective, by living on the streets. He knows the city in a way few others would. His name is Kevin P. Tyler.
About Debra Bretton Robinson
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement.
