In the summer my husband fishes here. Its a lovely spot. It is part of the Merrimack River up in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. I sketched this from the boat but in the summer. I had to revisit the spot several times in the winter to do the painting. A change of season changes everything!
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
