I saw this scene and immediately knew what colors it was exuding (at least in my painter's brain.). the warmth of the orange sand tells you its summer but the dark blue of the clouds makes it look like a threatening sky. Truly a scene to be appreciated quickly before the oncoming storm.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
