This is the latest painting I completed in my "on the boat" series. My husband Chris takes me on his boat and fishes while I paint. Sometimes these paintings become his favorites because they are reminders of his fishing spots. They are difficult to wrest from him, but he hasn't spoken for this one...yet.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
