Artist's Description
This is a place we frequent. Tuck's Point at Manchester by-the-sea is a favorite destination for painting, sailing, fishing and beach going. We have relatives, one of them being artist Marion Hall, that live in town. Marion and I sometimes paint together. We have different styles so its fun to see what each other has come up with.
About Debra Bretton Robinson
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in Tyngsboro, MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement.
