Plaistow is my home town. It was a wonderful place to grow up. I painted this scene from an old postcard. It looks a little different, but not much. Today it is a cool photography studio and the train doesn't stop there anymore, but it still drives by.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
