This is a much larger version of North Woods River. Its 40" x 40" compared to the 12"x12" one I made initially. I added ferns, plants and a tree to the foreground to give a greater sense of depth and interest. The smaller painting didn't seem to need that. I really like the effect.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
