Lowell is such a great little city. The architecture is fabulous and mostly untouched for a hundred years, the arts are everywhere and the people are friendly. I painted this piece of a neighborhood I drive by every day to get to the studio at Western Avenue. So much style on one street!
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
