Lawrence Snowfall Baby Onesie

This is the view I had walking to work every day across from the Lawrence Catholic Academy. The neighborhood just jumped out at me. I’ve always loved the way buildings overlap and create the most interesting compositions. Then when I added color, it was very experimental. The juxtapositions of unexpected color combinations were surprisingly pleasing. Sometimes it just all comes together magically.

Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
