King Louis is our very sweet, gentle cat. I originally was painting a piece with my talented nephew, Evan (we usually do this when we get together) at his house in Vermont. However, his cat was in this seat, I loved it, but I decided to put Louis in there instead of his orange cat, Willy when I got home.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement.
