This is my daughter Cecily's favorite place to vacation, the Captain Morse House. We stayed here on a big family trip to the Vineyard with our very generous Grandpa Ken. The cousins all had a blast, I got to paint several scenes, the guys got to do a lot of fishing...yep, life was good! :) Captain Morse was a whaling captain in the 1800's. The house is on the corner of Morse and Water Streets, right down the road from the water. Gorgeous!
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
