This is one of my combine paintings from a few years ago. Its hard to tell from the photo but its made up of all wood pieces. I noticed how strong the shadows were on it when it was lying on the floor with the sun streaming in from the windows so I captured them in full color. Sometimes compositions compose themselves! Its a really fun way to work.
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes.
