This year a visitor at open studios told me about a group of turn of the century painters from Canada called the Seven or sometimes, The Eight. They remind me of Fairfield Porter with more color. I am in love! One of them is Tommy Thompson who is great. My other absolute favorite is Lawren Harris. Check them out. You won't be sorry. I have new heros in the art world. :)
